2519 summer camp at RAF Wittering
Three cadets and three members of staff from 2519 (Strathmore) Squadron, had a successful weeks Summer Camp, at Royal Air Force Wittering, Cambridgeshire from the 26th of June to the 3rd of July.
The three cadets who attended were Cadet Warrant Officer Jemma Reid, Corporal Jillian Reid, Cadet Murray Bullions and they were accompanied by Flight Lieutenant Roy Kemp, Flight Lieutenant Michael Kay, and Adult Sergeant Mark Harper
The group arrived at R.A.F. Wittering on the 26th June after a 7½ hour coach journey and after being allocated their accommodation and flights they were given a security brief from the RAF Police Flight plus a health and safety brief by a member of the Fire Section. After their evening meal the cadets carried out a familiarisation exercise in their flights to learn their way round the station.
Each morning at 0700 the Air Training Corps Ensign was raised by the duty NCO and saluted by the Duty Officer and it was lowered each evening at 1830.
